Well now, I read The Catcher in the Rye a long time ago. And one images that stood out was when Holden described his little brothers baseball glove. How he wasn't a great player so they stuck him in the outfield. Well Alie(as a try to recall what his name was) would get bored so he wrote poetry all over his glove with a green marker, to read until something happened.

Not only do I relate to being stuck in the outfield, but this image of the poetry glove, well, I was completely obsessive over it, still am. I'll never, ever forget it. As for the rest of the book, eh. Why do you ask is there not poetry written on the glove I painted? Well when I got to the point of having to put it on, I could stand the idea of wrecking the painting if I did so and it looked like crap. I loved the painting so much I took a step back. One of these days though, one of these days.
